No sound over the speakers or headphones? 

Did you try by reinstalling the sound driver?

There is a sound from speaker but nothing to mic.

I have no headphones now so I can't do anything to check it.

I have re installed sound drivers and it has still no response from mic

Do a BIOS update.

Check your MIC settings.

Try a system restore.

Try to get an external to try the sound.

Last option before replacing hardware, will be a Windows re-installation.
