m18x macro key driver problem

hello

i remember there should be a "TactX " icon in the AWCC when i first opened my m18x. but now i can't find it. i searched the forum and dell support but only found this:

http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails?driverId=5K3FM

i don't know if this is the driver.

also, i can't find the AlienSense icon in the AWCC, what should i do to recover it?

thanks in advance

Hi,

If you have Alienware TactX Keyboard/Mouse you can setup, customize, and save macros using “Alienware TactX Keyboard/Mouse CI (Control Interface)”. You can get these drivers from the “Alienware Drivers and Utilities Disc”. If you do not have the Disc please download the software by clicking here.

Hope this helps.

hi Zohaib-R

i mean the macro keys on M18x, not the seperated tactX keyboard

i can't recover the macro key function on it.

I have the most recent drivers for the AWCC running Windows 8 Pro. Here is a screenshot of mine. I am not aware of any way to disable any of the buttons at the bottom. I also have an icon in my system tray that resembles a circle with three balls inside it. That takes me directly to the TactX screen.

Have you tried uninstalling the AWCC then reinstalling it?

Also, try running a program called CCleaner. It has helped my system in the past.

In response to the AlienSense, I found this link. http://www.alienwarearena.com/forums/topic/2143/hardware/aliensense-facial-recognition-software/2/

Maybe they discontinued it???

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response, try installing the Alienware Command Center application using the Original disc that was shipped with the computer. Before installing ensure the existing version is uninstalled completely.

Do reply with results.
