Will Alienware release windows 10 drivers?

I was wondering if Alienware would release alienware 18 p19e drivers for windows 10. I'm asking due to how they disconnected the product line, thanks!

We don’t have that information yet, we might know until the official release of windows 10 (July 29).

Thanks for this, I'm just worried that keyboard/mouse won't work properly after I upgrade from 7 to 10. If it doesnt, i can always go back to 7 with the reinstall I got with the computer.

Should 10 transfer the drivers over? Will the driver-disk work on 10?

They should work but we will be able to confirm until the official launch.

We don't have this info without you trying it with the insider preview.. There are a lot of configurations to test and until the final version is out July 29th, we can't say for sure..

I know with my AW17 R2 (2015), only issue I had was the Bluetooth drivers won't sync to my Sennheiser Presence headset anymore until KillerNetworking release a new BT driver for Windows 10 as they keep the drivers separate between Windows 7 and 8.x.. (Latest versions are 4.0.0.493 for Windows 7, 3.0.0.493 for Windows 8.x)..

A lot of manufacturers are testing Windows 10 drivers, but a lot are doing it in-house before they cause issues with end-users, and to verify a smooth launch when Windows 10 ships.

I would like to know if there are any plans to update the drivers for NVIDIA GeForce 9400M G display? I put in for the Windows 10 upgrade and received a reply back that due to manufacturer has not made this chip compatible for Windows 10, they cannot provide the upgrade and to contact the manufacturer. I got in touch with NVidia and they say to get in touch with Alienware/Dell since this is their system. I also have the GTX 280M and GTX260M installed.

i'm pretty confused about the situation as well.

My Alienware shipped with Win 8.1 and I did an upgrade to Win 10 and when the installation completed, I came to the Dell website to download the Win10 drivers, when I attempted installing a few of them like the Intel Graphics HD driver, I was surprised to know that they are older versions than the drivers I already have installed.

Same thing with the Intel Chipset drivers...not sure why Dell even provides them since the ones that come from Microsoft are newer.

Jonas200 - were you able to make a new OS disk for future catastrophes once you upgraded to 10, or will you be stuck going back to 8.1 and then reinstalling the upgrade again?

The m17xR1 is not supported for Windows 10. Very doubtful Dell/Alienware will update the drivers for that laptop.

Since installing Windows 10, Bluetooth Discovery is not working.  My Alienware 17 laptop can not detect my bluetooth headset or mobile phone

Hi Pyratepeter,  did you get a solution to this.  I tried to connect to a Bluetooth speaker and I am having the same problem.  I can't even find it in my device manager!

Thanks

Hello Crustyfarts

Yes I did solve the issue.  Can't quite remember how, but I think I just put 'bluetooth download for windows 10' into Google and down load (it was free). Sorry can't remember where I got it from but I think it was probably Microsoft

I have an M17X R1 from 2009, Windows 10 cannot be installed because there are no compatible drivers for the NVDIA GeForce GTX280M and the 9400 graphics cards fitted.

Will there EVER be a compatible driver from Dell/Alienware? Is there a workaround available? or am I just being left out in the dark with my £2500 laptop?
