Dell sent wrong GPU w/ laptop and I am stuck
So I have received my Alienware laptop as a gift from a person I no longer speak to anymore for personal reasons. I recently noticed however that my laptop was supposed to have shipped with a gtx 1080 but it came with a gtx 1070. I was wondering if their is any way I can get Dell to help out here because I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I have tried this persons name and it is not the name they registered the device under. So if anyone has and idea of something I could do that would be great.
P.S. - I have tried contacting "begging" this person to help me out however they do not seem to care about my suffering

If it shows on the invoice for the system, then contact support as long as you can provide the ownership information they should be correcting it. Remember that being nice and not grumpy with the support rep can only help you.

Not likely to be changed since you are past 21 days. Also not likely that you are "suffering" with a 1070 vs 1080. Any changes would require ownership transfer if its not registered in your name.

how did you came to this conclusion? do you own a GTX 1080? if so, how about i give you my 1070 and you give me your 1080 instead?

Actually if it's on the invoice and not in the system and what is in the system is on record then they have to meet the better specced item. Now lacking the ownership details, that's a bit more of a hurdle.
