Hello all.. just ordered my first Alienware r7. Went with 16gb of RAM 2666mhz. Just wondering about purchasing another pair of 16gb to go with it?

I don't know, but it's good to see you are getting two 8gb DIMMs , so your 16gb will run in Dual-Channel Mode.
Seems Dell does read these forums and makes changes accordingly.
I would not be in a hurry to order anything. After you get machine, you can look for yourself and/or run CPU-Z (or similar) against them.

Hard to say. You should be OK since you got it with just a GTX-1050-TI.
I got the 850w and the Liquid-Cooler in my Aurora-R6 (loaded and with a GTX-1070). IMO, a nice Intel-i7 needs a Liquid-Cooler. Slightly over-sized Power-Supplies run cooler and never come-up-short of power.

Thank you for your reply.. I've heard they put Kingston hyperx in but good to see exactly what it is when it comes. I've also heard alot of people say get the 850watt power ... I only got 460 LC ... will I have problems down the road? Thanks again

That's up to you, although ... I think to do that you would have to cancel the machine and order a new one.
Regardless of the wording, the 850w PS is separate from the (Asetek made) Liquid-Cooler for the Intel-i7 processor.
According to reports here ... if you get all cores going near 90% on the Intel-i7 (like when you are trans-coding video) with the basic fan-cooling ... the fan is gonna have to run at high-RPM and might therefore get a bit loud.

Thank you for your reply.. so since I got LC with the 460 watt Supply I may be ok then... as opposed to stock fan without LC.

Oh, I didn't realize you got the Liquid-Cooler. Yes, that is best for an Intel-i7 system.
Like I said, the 460w PS should be fine with just a 1050-TI. AFAIK, it's designed to run the whole system and a (small ?) dedicated video-card. It does have power-rails to support that. Will it get hot (so that its internal fan runs a lot) when machine is pushed-hard ... probably.
Anyway, enjoy your nice new system. I would not worry now (since you don't even have it yet). My guess is it will be fine.
