This software, un-like AWCC for laptops, only allows for performing keystroke combo’s limiting its usefulness. I need to be able to call batch files to perform certain admin duties and such. My workaround, is to creat a desktop shortcut that calls the batch file(s)..
Here’s the link for the AW78 Pro Gaming Keyboard AWCC
Problem solved. There’s a separate software package just for the AW768 Pro Gaming Keyboard. I can control all of the lights now; but I’m not able to program the special macros keys for some reason. I’ll have to figure that out.
so the original posters says the keyboard can't be found in alienware control center, so your advice is " he needs to install alienware control center"?

did you work in customer service too?
Traditionally, we have referred to Alienware Command Center as AWCC
Yes, I worked with support to find the tool that was needed to control the keyboard. On Alienware laptops, which I’ve had many, it’s combined in the AWCC.

Because recent Alienware laptops always have the LED keyboard. Probably one of the reasons why "Alienware Command Center for Laptops" has always been a (similar but) separate program from the Desktop version.

I re-installed AWCC and the Gaming Keyboard (AW768) still won't show up. I followed this checklist to the tee.

I'm not sure what's next...

However, I think the software for the new Keyboard is called Alienware Control Center

Pretty clever huh. :TongueTied: (not)
