Format Description:
This file format consists of an archive of files that may be decompressed to a directory on the hard drive. The installation can then be done from that directory.
WARNING: As with all firmware updates, it is strongly recommended that you backup or make copies of all important files before performing this update. - This firmware update process is done entirely at your own risk. - If performed correctly, there will be no loss of system or user data on the drive. - However, if the firmware process is interrupted for any reason, your solid state drive may not function properly.
(DOS) 1. Insert the CD-R containing the ISO image into the R/W CD-ROM drive. 2. Click Shutdown on the menu bar to safely close down and power off the system. 3. Count to 10 (seconds) once the system is completely shutdown. 4. Boot the system from the CD-ROM drive and automatically load FreeDOS* and start Firmware Update Tool. 5. Let the program run until it displays the DOS screen shown in Figure 6. The Firmware will start up automatically at figure 2. 7. After firmware update was finished,please reboot the drive.
(Windows) 1. Download Firmware file to a known path. 2. Double click "FW.exe" 3. Please select target SSD. 4. Click "Update" to re-boot system. 5. Wait System reboot to start firmware update 6. Firmware update will provide messaging indicating successful update.
