Dell OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) provides a comprehensive, one-to-one systems management solution in two ways: from an integrated, web browser-based graphical user interface (GUI) and from a command line interface (CLI) through the operating system. Server Administrator is designed for system administrators to manage systems locally and remotely on a network. It allows system administrators to focus on managing their entire network by providing comprehensive one-to-one systems management.

Fixes 1. OMSA on systems running ESXi operating system stops responding to a remote OMSA Distributed Web Service connection from systems running Windows or Linux operating system. 2. OMSA cannot be detected for inventory by OpenManage Essentials or Dell VMWare Management Plug-in appliance. 3. The semaphores are depleted errors in the ESXi system log.

Format Description:
This file format consists of an archive of files that may be decompressed to a directory on the hard drive. The installation can then be done from that directory.
Note: This OMSA 7.3.0.2 patch for ESXi does not contain the fix for allowing special password characters. Download the OMSA 7.3.0.2 patch for Windows or Linux and apply it to the remote station running OMSA Distributed Web Services (DWS) that remotely connects to OMSA running on the ESXi station.
Download 1. Click the Download File link to download the zip file. 2. When the File Download window appears, click Save to save the file to your hard drive.
Installation 1. Login to the system running VMware Vsphere Client or vCenter-Server 2. Bring the intended ESXi host into Maintenance Mode 3. For VUM based installs, Select the ESXi host. Click Update Manager, Admin view, Patch Repository, Import Patches and follow the online instructions to upload the patch successfully. The offline bundle is displayed. 4. For other install methods, unzip the offline bundle to extract the vib and metadata.zip. Use the vib to install Server Administrator software on the desired ESXi host
